Atheists, hypothetically what if Jesus?
had rose from the dead? Let’s just assume for arguement sake that there was a historical figure as depicted in the scriptures. And lets say he really was crucified under pontius pilate and rose from the dead. And lets say his empty tomb really was discovered by some of his women followers. Let’s just say for the sake of argument that this was all true.
How would the historical data be different than it is now if it really were true?
Did I just read a biblical Mad Lib?

For one, there would BE historical data. There’s none now.
All we have is quadruple hearsay from a book of fairy tales.

supposing he actually was seen by 500 people, i’d expect more than 4 eyewitness accounts.

Zombies would be a confirmed fact.
There might be some actual documentation too, you know.. dead people rising tends to freak people out.

It may or may not be any different.
Due to the state of affairs back in the day, it would be extremely difficult to prove that type of thing.
However, what is the prudent course of belief?
Believe in something without proof. (Like god, and the flying spaghetti monster, and big foot?)
Or view the world with a skeptical eye, and you MAY not believe in some things that are in fact true, but you run all data through the same ‘logical’ process?
I think it is more prudent, to do the latter.

While we’re at it, let’s just assume leprechauns are real too. I live in reality, dude; I don’t know where you live.

First, there would have to be some historical data to be different — but there is none…outside of the Bible, the existence of the man you call Jesus cannot be verified.
