Blur’s "To the End" music video is inspired by an avant-garde French film called Last Year at Marienbad, which is now one of my favorites. I recently purchased the Blu-ray version of it.

Yeah. Most people learned about Elliott Smith after they saw The Royal Tenenbaums. I heard about The Royal Tenenbaums because it had "Needle in the Hay" in it.

that’s an interesting cover too. I actually did the opposite, I discovered the Pixies after hearing they covered ‘In Heaven’ live.
it’s really obscure, but Fantomas, one of Mike Patton’s groups, did an album of all horror/suspense film music called Director’s Cut, and they do one called ‘Spider Baby’ which I learned was one of Lon Chaney Jr.’s (the original Wolfman) last films in 1964, which I pursued and got a goofy little kick out of it. Was also Devil’s Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses star Sig Haig’s first film, and he looks the exact same.
